Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the High Court Stenographer online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the High Court of Punjab and Haryana (S.S.S.C.) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. The age limit for High Court Stenographer is;

- Bachelor Degree of Arts or Bachelor of Science or equivalent thereto from a recognized university
- Have proficiency in computers (Word Processing and Spread Sheets).
- Passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language.
Applicants who have not passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language at matriculation level can apply however, they would be required to pass the same within the probation period, if selected, failing which their appointment shall stand cancelled.
